Common misunderstandings about dimmable glass
One, it is not sturdy
Dimmable glass is a very special product. Generally, it is made and processed from tempered glass, which ensures a relatively good stress resistance capacity. It is laminated glass itself and belongs to the glass category recognized by China's standards. Its level is no less than that of automotive glass. So don't worry about its sturdiness.
Two. Is there electricity
Dimmable glass does have electricity, but its voltage generally does not exceed 65V. In China, based on different specific environmental conditions, the voltage value is stipulated as 65V in buildings without a high risk of electric shock. Therefore, from a legal perspective, it is a basic product. In addition, its conductive layer is deeply embedded inside the dimmable glass. Unless the glass is basically broken, the circuit will not be exposed, and thus there is no risk of electric shock.
Three, it's just a piece of glass installed casually
Dimmable glass has corresponding installation standards. Failure to install it in accordance with these standards will inevitably cause unnecessary losses. After purchase, it is necessary to ask the supplier for the corresponding installation standards. There are two points that must be particularly noted: The positive and negative poles must not be connected to electricity, which may cause a short circuit and burn them out. Special sealant must be used; otherwise, there is a high possibility (99%) that the sealant will come apart.
